Donating clothes at Baca Ortiz

Thanks to all students and volunteers from Ecole Idiomas, and travellers from Ecole Travel, whom have left clothes at our office for donation to projects after they left Ecuador.

Last week we have donated part of these clothes to the parents of children whom are staying at the children´s hospital Baca Ortiz. Some parents come from other provinces to this State Hospital specialized in treating children and are forced to stay for weeks in Quito without sufficient means. The hospital can help some of them by offering a place to stay and a warm meal and Ecole was able to help last week by donating clothes to those who needed it most.

Please keep helping us by leaving clothing you will not use anymore, and we will make sure that we donate it to different projects where help is needed!

  1. Hi,
My name is Brooke Wadlington and I am a student at Centenary College of Louisiana in the U.S. I recently spent two and a half weeks in Ecuador for a school trip and immediately fell in love with the culture. However, I was saddened by the sight of people in small villages who were in need of proper clothing and other supplies. This led me to create a donation pile among myself and other students on the trip including clothing, shoes, medicine, and other items we did not wish to bring home with us. Since my return to the states, I have been wanting to help those less fortunate more than ever. I have been collecting clothes and shoes from friends and family members, hoping that I can some how donate them to families in need throughout Ecuador. If you know of any way to make this possible please let me know. My email is lwadling@my.centenary.edu. Thank you and have a great day.

    Sincerely,
    Brooke Wadlington
